3 Toddler Bed Plans You Can Make in an Evening

I am now the proud grandmother of two adorable grandchildren and they are growing up pretty fast. Now for my daughters I know that have convertible cribs but when they come to visit Grammy they need a space to call their own starting with a bed to sleep in. So I figured the best idea would be to get a toddle bed but where should I start. There are many options to choose from like online retailers, my local box store but then I though why not build a toddler bed my self for them. I was never one that likes to have what everyone else had so I wanted something different and unique for my grand little ones. So I finally decided to put my creative juices to work and I came up with 3 Toddle bed plans you can make in an evening. *One option is to use palettes that you find for free. You can always find these palettes for free that people are trying to give away. To build this bed you will need to put two of them and connect them underneath with a 2x4 and a few wood screws adding legs are an option. Be sure to sand the bed down well to avoid splinters and a good coat of high quality paint will do wonders for this cute creations. You can also add a few wheels to make it more mobile. You might have to drill new screw holes in order to get it as far down as you would like. You can also place another mattress underneath the bed by building a trundle to slide out for kids sleep over. *Here's another cute idea. Attach 4x4's to plywood you need to have five of these 4x4's at a height that you feel comfortable with or you can get the dimension of a toddler bed for a store to find the dimension that your looking for. Be sure to use wood screws when you attach the plywood to the (5) 4x4's. Now this will be a rough look so it's best to cover it with bed skirt and attach a headboard and you’re in business. I decided to use the plywood and 4x4’s technique. It’s simple and easy to construct. What’s also great is you can have the pieces cut at your local hardware store so no tools needed. Within a day I had completed the toddles bed and they were ready to but put into their place. I was so excited to the room come to life and to see the transformation before my very eyes. It's really easy to be creative and to find ways to save money for things that you need. So instead of doing with out give yourself a budget and a little creative freedom and get exactly what you want. If you want to build your first woodworking project Click Here For More Information!
